Repeat Prescriptions

Please allow 24 hours before your repeat prescriptions will be ready. We would prefer that you called after 10am to allow us to deal with house calls and emergencies. It would help us if you have the names of your medicines available when you phone.
Please note that some medicines cannot be prescribed without seeing a doctor.
It is a good idea to contact us when you still have a few days supply left, to ensure you do not run out.

Complaints & Comments

If you have any problems, please raise them first with the staff concerned, or you can approach the GP or Practice Manager. You may submit a written complaint if you wish, or you can approach the Trust directly. Details are freely available.

Appointment System

All of our surgeries run an appointment system. We will always endeavour to give you the earliest convenient appointment.

House Calls

We would always prefer to see you in the surgery, as your notes and our medical equipment are there. If you are unable to come to the surgery please contact us as early as possible to request a house call. We ask that any request for a house call be made before 10am to allow us to plan our surgeries.

Emergencies

We will always deal with emergencies promptly. Please phone as soon as possible.

One Patient

Please note that an appointment is for one patient only. If you wish to have your child, or partner, for instance, seen at the same time, this can easily be done. Just let us know in advance and we will allocate enough time to deal with both patients.

Data Protection

This practice fully complies with the data protection act.

Certain services attract payments which the practice needs to claim and verify. Routine checks will be made for this purpose by NHS staff.

Clinics

Some patients require special care, for instance to prevent complications in long standing conditions.
Please ask at reception if you require an appointment for any of the following clinics.

Child Health Surveillance

This important surgery is where the doctor and health visitor make sure that your child is developing normally.

Dietician

You can see the dietician in our surgery. You will need to see doctor or nurse first, who will then arrange this for you.

Asthma Clinic

The surgery has a nurse led asthma clinic. Please ask for details

Heart disease – BP Clinic

Heart disease and high blood pressure require long term treatment. Some treatments may involve medicines, and others may involve “lifestyle” treatments, e.g. smoking, diet, alcohol.

Minor Surgery

This can be carried out on the premises
